Your Hour of Power: How to Build the Foundation That Changes Everything

For years, I struggled to build a consistent health routine.
Every January, I’d reset. New planner, new protein powder, same burnout.

My operating mode was simple: forge ahead.
Coffee was my best friend, and rest was for the weak. We’re deal makers right…

Sound familiar?

Then everything shifted after 2020 came and the world shut down from the Fa@$i flu. I hit “Reset” and stopped trying to “hack” my mornings and started building an actual system.
What came next didn’t just change my energy — it changed my business, my mindset, and the way I operate.

And if you’re a man between 35–45, balancing a career, maybe a family, and a growing business, this is for you. Because when your health slips, everything else starts to unravel. The weeds in the garden grow fast when you stop tending them.

Let’s fix that.

Step 1: Define Your Routine in One Sentence

Most people stall right here. They set vague goals like “I’m going to get in shape” or “I’m going to eat better.”

No — you need clarity, not clichés.

Here’s the simple rewrite that changed everything for me:

“Every morning at 8 a.m., I will lift heavy and focused for one hour at my gym.”

That’s your Hour of Power.
When the world’s quiet. When no one’s calling. When your willpower is strongest.

Ask yourself:

  1. When am I most rested and focused?

  2. When am I least reachable?

That blip in time - is your Hour of Power. Guard it. This time period can set you free.

Step 2: Set the Standard

After your Hour of Power, stack another win: eat clean, recover while doing one hour of deep work.
That two-hour window — training + focused work — is where your new life compounds.

Step 3: Audit the Promises You Haven’t Kept

Look back over the last 2–3 years.
What goals have you never finished — or even started?

Write down 10–15 ideas. Don’t filter. Be honest with yourself.
Then choose one and commit to moving it forward this month. Don’t stay stuck. Clear the shit off your plate and create space and clarity.

Step 4: Use AI as Your Secret Weapon

You’re not too busy — you’re just not using leverage.

Take that one goal you picked and feed it into ChatGPT:

“Help me create a 4-step action plan for [goal].”

AI isn’t replacing you. It’s removing friction. Use it to outline, organize, and automate what drains you. You should begin using ChatGPT daily once you see its potential as a workflow tool to keep you focused and output high. Remove friction, let AI help remove tasks that drain you.

Step 5: Find Accountability

Every high performer you admire has a coach, a mentor, or a team keeping them on track.

Hire one. Join one. Or find a peer group that pushes you forward.

You ever have someone spot you while you bench pressed? knowing that person was there allowed you to give 100% of your effort because you knew you couldn’t drop it. Likely lifted more didn’t you? think about that in every area of your life?

This is why having accountability is needed - most of us are leaving fuel in the tank - you want to be rung out like a gym towel!

momentum without accountability eventually collapses.

In 90 days you can see results - you’re stronger - you have that goal done or now in play - plus you added two or three more micro habits to add to your routine.

Why This Works

The Hour of Power is simple — one decision that compounds.
You’ll get stronger physically, sharper mentally, and wealthier emotionally.

This isn’t about fitness. It’s about freedom.
You’re not just buying back your health — you’re buying back your time.
